As a Kaito Yapper, finding the right content to engage with can be tiresome. With thousands of tweets flooding your timeline, how do you focus on what matters most for your yap goals and mindshare growth?

Twitter Lists are one of the most powerful yet underutilized tools for strategic yapping. They can help you filter noise, target your efforts, and boost your yap points and smart followers.

In this guide, we'll explore how to use Twitter Lists effectively as a Kaito yapper, from creating the right lists to incorporating them into your daily yapping routine.

Using Twitter Lists is a must for any yapper.

What Are Twitter Lists?

Twitter Lists Defined

Twitter Lists are curated groups of accounts that allow you to view a timeline of posts exclusively from those accounts. Think of them as custom feeds that filter out the noise and focus only on specific topics or communities.

Lists can be public (anyone can see and follow them) or private (only you can see them). You can create your own lists or subscribe to lists created by others.

How to Use Twitter Lists for Yappers

For us yappers, Twitter Lists are more than just a nice organization hack. They're engagement goldmines. Here's how to leverage them effectively:

Creating New Lists

When creating lists for your yapping strategy, focus on these categories:

  • Mindshare Leaders: Create a list of the top influencers in your target mindshare (e.g., DeFi, AI, L1s)
  • Engagement Targets: Accounts that consistently get high engagement and are relevant to your focus
  • Frequent Yappers: Other active Kaito users who regularly post about topics you're interested in
  • Project-Specific Lists: If you're focusing on specific projects in the Rewards Station, create dedicated lists for each

Pro Tip: Create "early responder" lists for accounts that post frequently but don't get immediate engagement. Being one of the first to reply can significantly increase your visibility.

To create a new list on X (Twitter):

  1. In the left sidebar, click "More" then click "Lists"
  2. At the top center of the screen, to the right side of the search bar, click the "+" button to create a new list
  3. Name your list (be specific and descriptive)
  4. Choose whether it's public or private (I usually make them public)
  5. Add relevant accounts to your list

Pro Tip: If you start seeing the error message "You can't add that person to this list", that means your list quota is full for the day, just come back in 24 hours to keep making your lists!

Using Other People's Lists

Don't reinvent the wheel! Many top yappers and crypto influencers have already created valuable lists you can follow:

  • Find lists from top yappers: Visit the profiles of leading accounts in your niche and check their lists.
  • Search for public lists: Use Twitter's search function with terms like "crypto list" or "DeFi accounts list".
  • Subscribe but customize: Follow others' lists, but consider creating private versions where you add or remove accounts based on your specific focus.

Here's the absolute easiest way I've found to find pre-made lists fast:

  1. Go to your target mindshare leaderboard on Kaito.
  2. Find the top yapper, then search their username on X
  3. Click the "..." icon at the top of their profile, then click "View Lists"
  4. In the top right, click the "..." again, then click "Lists they're on"
  5. Scan the results and look for lists made by verified accounts with names such as "Top 100 XXX Yappers"

Using this method, you can find some super valuable lists and save a bunch of time!

Pro Tip: If you're struggling to find relevant accounts for your own custom lists, find usernames and add them directly from the relevant Kaito leaderboards!
